Praise God for His favour & grace upon us!
Last Saturday, as soon as I finished practice for a drama for our upcoming NG function, he quickly picked me up to meet up with a refreshment caterer as recommended by Aunty Bim Sim from the church. He is a Christian and has been charging very low for the ‘kuih’ that he sold to our church’s morning hope café. We met him at McDonald. We had a good chat and we were so glad to find out that he is willing to offer us a few varieties of kuih and finger food with delivery for a budgeted amount of $500 to $600. He is a very committed Christian in wanting to be the channel of blessing unto others and the missionary as he is being blessed. It was refreshing talking to him and reminded me once again the reason we are here on earth as a Christ-follower which is to be the salt & light and the channel of love & blessing unto others – to help the losts find Christ through us.
As previously arranged, we met Aunty Luciana whom is recommended by many married couples in our church and whom we have tried her cooking and finger food before. Aunty Luciana cooks terribly WELL and she is passionate in blessing the church and the people with her brilliant cooking skill. We previously heard that her charges are not cheap so we went with a heart asking for God’s favour. Initially as we told her about our budget of $350 to $400, she said that previously another wedding with 200 people that she catered for has about 4 kind of food including sushi. We thought that our budget might have sounded too little for her. What a shame? While I was looking at him, thank God that her son Christian was with us and he said:” I bet you guys think that she meant that the money is too little right? NO!! She meant that the budget is more than enough!”. Wow! We were like: Praise God! She then confirmed that – that’s what she meant! Haha….after a short discussion we agreed for $400 for 6 types of finger food, given that she knew us and is happy to charge a lower cost. What a favour it is!
It was just amazing to see how God unfolds his blessing unto us every time we draw together to pray for the little aspects of our wedding. Indeed God is faithful!
For those brides in Brisbane and are interested in the caterers as mentioned above, I don’t mind advertising them for your convenience…yippee!
